Markham Museum

If you are looking for a unique family experience, Markham Museum offers 25 acres of parkland including an orchard and heritage gardens. Our site features a variety of buildings representing the on-going growth of our community. See mills, re-created businesses and family homes. Enjoy a personal tour and then stroll the village. Bring a picnic and find a quiet spot to unwind. Customized tours are available for families with young children except on special event days.

HOURS OF OPERATION
Please note: The Museum is closed New Year’s Day, January 2, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Monday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, December 27rh.

Thanksgiving to Labour Day (Fall / Winter Season)
Tuesday to Sunday: 12 noon to 5:00 p.m.
Closed Mondays (Special events, camps & pre-registered groups excepted)
All exhibits open, daily scheduled tours of our open-air museum. Research facility by appointment. 
Please note that the children’s little train ride only runs on special events and closes down for the Fall and Winter.

Victoria Day to Thanksgiving (Summer Season)
Monday to Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 12 noon to 5:00 p.m.
All exhibits, daily scheduled tours of our open-air museum, mini golf, heritage gardens, pond and wetlands, and apple orchard. Research facility by appointment.
