Enjoy Heritage Week in Historic Unionville!

February 20th - 26th, 2017

Unionville is open Holiday Monday, the start of Heritage Week! Enjoy the Family Day holiday weekend on beautiful historic Main Street Unionville, the essence of olde Ontario. Take in Ontario’s history in the 19th century European style vintage village while you explore the many shops and restaurants occupying its heritage buildings, most of which are older than Canada itself. Celebrate Family Day Weekend with old fashioned experiences while absorbing the beautiful surroundings of Unionville, an award winning Heritage Village, in celebration of Heritage Week. Unionville is a Canadian Treat!

Record breaking weather and record breaking February crowds gathered along Main Street Unionville today

The vintage village is full of that heritage feel as Ontario enjoy the spring like weather. The unofficial “kick off” of an early spring coincides with the beginning of Ontario’s annual Heritage Week. Family friendly fun for all as you can enjoy sweets and refreshing beverages at the patios and cafés. Browse the unique shops while taking in the beautiful atmosphere on Main Street or wander through the nature trails around TooGood Pond. Unbelievable that patio weather and t-shirt wearing was the buzz of the olde heritage village today. Remarkable that both the weather and architecture could make you feel right back in 1842!

Heritage activities and experiences are what you will find in Unionville this Family Day Holiday Weekend, with our self-guided walking tour of Unionville. Learn a bit of history, see where the rebels hid out during the 1837 Rebellion or simply feel the vibe of days gone by where founding families built this vibrant village.

Shops & Restaurants open Holiday Monday when there will be great opportunities to capture “heritage reminiscent” photos of the beautiful surroundings, so don’t forget to post your snapshots!

Even old fashioned free parking is available.

Nestled near Kennedy Road and Highway #7, Main Street Unionville is a mere 30 minutes from downtown Toronto, yet a world away from the hustle of the big city. Older than Confederation itself, with buildings preserved from the 1800’s, Main Street Unionville offers an assortment of trendy street cafés, bistros, restaurants, shops and boutiques. Unionville is minutes away, yet centuries apart.

Slow down, relax and enjoy the vintage vibe, while taking in the warm weather this week in beautiful Historic Main Street Unionville.
