Battle of the Books Final Contest

Thursday, May 8, 2014, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. (teams to arrive at 6:30 p.m.)

Location: Black Walnut Public School, 30 John Allan Cameron Street

Battle of the Books is a literacy program partnership of the Canadian Federation of University Women Markham-Unionville and teacher-librarians of the York Region and York Catholic District School Boards in Markham. The aim is to stimulate enjoyment of recreational reading in Grades 4, 5 & 6 by encouraging students to read more widely in authors they already enjoy, and to discover new authors recommended by students, teachers and parents.
