The
Varley Art Gallery has established itself as a destination for
engaging exhibitions known for their superb quality and design.
The gallery's intriguing mix of new and familiar has brought many
new visitors to the Varley and historic Unionville.
This art
gallery features one of the largest permanent collections of oil paintings, watercolours, and drawings by Frederick Horsman Varley (one of Canada’s famous
Group of Seven artists) and a number of renowned contemporaries works of arts by
J. E. H. MacDonald, J. W. Morrice, and David Milne.
It
also offers a wide range of hands on art related activities, designed
to appeal to people of all ages and interests. Furthermore, it offers
group tours, family and school programs, studio courses, lectures,
and workshops.

Visit
the Varley Gallery on May
24, July 1 and August 2 for free family art activities and guided exhibition
tours of current exhibitions of contemporary and Canadian and international art
(complimentary with admission).
There is a Gallery Shop offering beautiful Canadian
hand-crafted jewellery, ceramics, art reproductions, art books,
stationeries, posters, kids craft kits, and more.
The
gallery also offers Children's
Birthday Parties. Special program designed parties are for various ages from 4
to 12 years. Parties include special guided tours of the gallery, hands on
activities, art games, and lots of fun. Minimum of 10 children and accompanying
