On Sunday, June 26th, the Unionville Stiver
Mill Farmers’ Market on Station Lane in Unionville, will
open for the 2016 season. This unique farmers’ market is
held in a park-like setting beside the Stiver Mill every
Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. until October 9, 2016
The Stiver Mill Farmers’ Market was originally started to
bring awareness to the plight of the Stiver Mill. The City
of Markham and the Federal Government came together after
five years to support the restoration of the Stiver Mill.
The newly renovated Stiver Mill, now called the Stiver Mill
Cultural Centre, officially opened in June 2014. As Mayor
Frank Scarpitti says “it is a showpiece”.
Along with fresh fruit, vegetables, baked goods, honey, meat
and crafts, there's live entertainment weekly.
Meet your friends and enjoy breakfast or lunch at the Market
The newly renovated
Mill includes a beautiful boardwalk running from Main
Street Unionville, beside the Train Station and around the
Stiver Mill. Enjoy a stroll on the boardwalk to the Farmers’
Market. Hope to see you there opening day!
