Photo Storytelling: Social Media Training Workshops

(joint pilot program between Markham Public Library and Parya Trillium Foundation)

Teaches newcomers and seniors how to create a slideshow of their life story in Canada. Specifically designed to be easy and enjoyable training on how to use Google Slides to create and customize their slideshows, which they can share online with others.

Location: Thornhill Community Centre Library: Computer Lab
              7755 Bayview Ave.  map

Date: Fridays, April 8 – May 27, 2016  (8 sessions in total)

Time: 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Target Audience: Newcomer seniors. Although Photo Storytelling was designed with the needs of immigrant seniors in mind, it will be available to all interested seniors.

Participants must have:
 · Basic knowledge of PC and keyboarding skills
 · English language proficiency (CLB 4 minimum)
