The 29th Annual Unionville
Olde Tyme Christmas
&
Candlelight Parade
Unionville's Annual Olde Tyme
Christmas and Candlelight Parade is an unforgettable event that
will leave you infused with the spirit of Christmas. A
candlelight parade, Victorian-style carolers, streetlamps, sleigh
bells, and carriage rides . . . a Christmas card scene comes alive
as Main Street Unionville celebrates its 29th Annual Olde Tyme
Christmas on December 4th through December 6th, 2009.
Few places can replicate an old-fashioned Christmas as
realistically as Main Street Unionville. Village charm,
quaint architecture and small town courtesy are the hallmarks of
the town’s most popular winter attraction.
The festivity commences on Friday,
December 4th, 2009 at 7 p.m. with the Candlelight Parade winding
its way along Main Street Unionville from the Crosby Arena to the
Planing Mill. Watch out for the arrival of Santa Claus!
Beautiful handcrafted floats carry costumed children and carolers.
Your favourite Christmas tunes are played by bands and musical
ensemble. Small candy canes are given out by Santa's little
helpers to anyone who likes sweet treats.
Throughout the weekend visitors can get a head start on Christmas
shopping with a fine selection of gifts, clothing and foods from
throughout the world at Main Street Unionville’s specialty stores
and boutiques. They are filled with beautiful handcrafted
and specialty items and fashionable clothing for kids and adults.
Stores will remain open until 10 p.m. that evening. Afterwards,
share in a delicious meal with your family and friends at one
of the many world class restaurants.
The Annual Old Time Christmas and Candle Light Parade has become
one of Unionville's cherished Christmas traditions.
