CF Markville Celebrates Diwali from October 28th to 30th
CF Markville is inviting the community to
experience its Diwali festivities taking place from Friday, October
28th, to Sunday, October 30th. The three-day showcase features
culturally inspired art and food sampling in honour of this ancient,
and most widely celebrated Hindu festival.
community continues to grow and diversify, we are constantly looking
for ways to introduce exciting, relevant and timely experiences for
our guests to enjoy," said Daryl Clemance, General Manager of CF
Markville. “In addition to being a retail destination, we are
committed to bringing the community together to experience new
traditions. We encourage families to join us for the Diwali holiday to
celebrate the spirit of togetherness.”
To honour the
Diwali tradition, consumers will be treated to a variety of Diwali
treats and have access to interesting details about the holiday posted
throughout the shopping centre. CF Markville has commissioned a
Rangoli artist for the weekend to create one of Diwali’s most loved
traditions, Rangoli art, in property. Over the course of three days,
the artist will create a unique piece of folk art which is commonly
drawn with colourful sand, rice powder or flower petals. The geometric
and floral patterns are thought to bring luck and are commonly
displayed during celebrations. This intricate artwork will be on full
display on October 30.
