Markham Kothu Festival

Markham Kothu Festival

July 9, 2016 from noon to 10:00 p.m.

Markham Road and Karachi Dr. (Behind Costco)  map

The Markham Kothu Festival will be the largest festival in South Markham’s history! What better way is there to try out this popular Tamil food in all its glory.

This will be one of the best ways to kick off the summer season with family and friends. We will be having international entertainment throughout the day, so make sure you come out and celebrate in one of the world’s most ethnically diverse areas.

The festival is inspired by the infamous Tamil dish known as Kothu Roti popular for its distinct taste and flavor from Sri Lanka and India.

Kothu Roti can be made in a variety of ways and our festival will be exploring the variety of “Kothu” options that can be offered! We encourage all of our vendors to explore, experiment and innovate new food options!
