 A variety of courses are available at the Markham Guild of Village Crafts to satisfy your interest. Enroll in some classes and see what you can do!

Classes are open to members and non-members.

REGISTRATION: Please register with the individual instructor for the respective course. Students must register 2 week prior to class start date. Most classes require additional materials fees which are not included in the prices stated unless otherwise stated. Validate times and additional fees with each instructor when registering. Cheques should be made payable to: Markham Guild of Village Crafts.

REFUND POLICY: Full Refund: If the program you choose is cancelled by the Guild.
                         Partial Refund: $5.00 administration and material fees are not refundable if cancelled by the student.
                         No Refund: If student cancels later than one (1) week prior to the beginning of the course.

Various crochet techniques will be taught, colour changing, shaping and complex stitches. The class is providing guidance in pattern reading for novice crochet students. Bring your own project and /or get some new pattern(s) free. **Students must have basic crochet skills**

These ongoing classes will teach advanced crochet skills and special techniques some of which are crochet with beads. Projects vary from making crochet accessories, bags to go and crochet jewelry, to making socks and other charity crochet items . All kinds of projects or crochet problems are welcome! Bring your own work and/or get familiar with new skill. ** Prerequisites: Students must have basic crochet skills. **

Students will work with Tila beads, square beads with two holes and seed beads. They will learn the Herringbone stitch to complete a classic and elegant bracelet.

This is an on-going class for beginner, Intermediate and Advanced students. The student acquires technical skills in Hand-building and Wheelthrowing. Practice both techniques with stoneware clay and porcelain. The experiment in glaze, kiln loading and firing will be discussed as the student advances in knowledge and experience. There is a maximum of 6 students per class to allow for individual attention.
