A variety of courses are available at the Markham Guild of Village Crafts to satisfy your interest. Enroll in some classes and see what you can do!

Classes are open to members and non-members.

REGISTRATION: Please register with the individual instructor for the respective course. Students must register 2 week prior to class start date. Most classes require additional materials fees which are not included in the prices unless otherwise stated. Validate times and additional fees with each instructor when registering. Cheques should be made payable to: Markham Guild of Village Crafts.

REFUND POLICY: Full Refund: If the program you choose is cancelled by the Guild.
                         Partial Refund: $5.00 administration and material fees are not refundable if cancelled by the student.
                         No Refund: If student cancels later than one (2) week prior to the beginning of the course.

SEWING FOR CHILDREN AND TEENS
 

We will make a variety of projects and learn new skills. Machine rental is available for nominal fee. Material Supplies Extra, to be purchased by student, includes basic sewing supplies, pattern and fabric. Children's Sewing Class

BEGINNER SEWING CLASS

This program is for beginners with minimal or no sewing experience. In this course you will learn the parts and accessories of the machine, sewing skills, standard stitches and sewing terms. You will also learn how to read a pattern and sew curves. You will complete a pair of pajama pants or boxers. Machine rental is available for nominal fee. Material Supplies Extra, to be purchased by student. Includes basic sewing supplies, pattern and fabric.

You will learn zipper insertion and complete a skirt or cushion cover. Machine rental is available for nominal fee. Material Supplies Extra, to be purchased by student, includes basic sewing supplies, pattern and fabric.
