Hoot and Howl

Saturday, February 4, 2017

 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Location: Rouge Valley Mennonite Church
7452 Reesor Rd. Markham, Ont. L6B  map

Parks Canada is pleased to host the 2017 Hoot & Howl in the Rouge! This annual event, presented in partnership with Toronto and Region Conservation, is a night of fun, adventure and learning that aims to introduce park visitors to native owl and coyote species that call the Rouge home. The evening will include an in-class presentation on owls and coyotes found in the Rouge and a nighttime hike (weather permitting) with Parks Canada staff in the Rouge to call out to these wild creatures to see if any will hoot or howl back. Hot chocolate and other light refreshments will be provided. Dress for cold weather and bring a travel mug to keep your drinks warm. This is a free event, but registration is required. You must be seven years or older to attend and space is limited.

Registration: To register, please visit TRCA Stewardship Events at http://trcastewardshipevents.ca and click on "York" and "Hoot & Howl”.
