Good Neighbour Day

Wednesday, September 8th, 2010

10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Location: Tim Clark's Flowers
97 Main St. N

SHOW LOVED ONES HOW MUCH THEY REALLY MEAN ON
GOOD NEIGHBOUR DAY

Residents of Markham will have a unique opportunity to show the people they love how much they really mean. On September 8, 2010 Tim Clark’s Flowers and The Centre for Dreams will be hosting their 5th Annual Good Neighbour Day at 97 Main St. Markham North.

Beginning at 10:00 a.m., Tim Clark’s Flowers at 97 Main Street Markham N. and The Centre for Dreams have partnered together to make this year’s Good Neighbour Day a memorable one. They will be giving away bunches of a dozen roses to anyone who visits the shop with a minimum donation of $10, while supplies last. The proceeds will benefit The Centre for Dreams. There is one catch however, anyone who picks up a dozen roses will be asked to keep one of the flowers for themselves and give the others away to 11 different people spreading goodwill and friendship in the community.

“There is nothing greater than giving someone flowers to show your appreciation,” says Amy Willshaw, Tim Clark’s Flowers.” Since we started participating in Good Neighbour Day five years ago, it has been a great success and we are extremely excited to be helping out The Centre for Dreams.”

The Centre for Dreams is a day program dedicated to providing a curriculum designed specifically for adults with intellectual challenges. We provide these special individuals with educational programs and social skills training with the hopes of integrating them into the community - both independently and confidently. We want to ensure that they will become productive, independent, dignified and respected members therein.
