Garden & Horticultural Societies of Markham

Established 1920

The Markham Garden and Horticulture Society, growing since 1923, brings fellow gardeners together monthly to exchange ideas and techniques, and a forum for speakers to provide gardening-related information. We have design classes in the flower shows for those who like flower arranging.

You do not need to have a garden to be a member but just a love of nature. We have a plant sale early in May and alternative each year between a garden and a bus tour.

Everyone is welcome at our meeting which begins at 8 p.m.  Refreshment at 7:30 p.m.

For 2012 we have moved our meetings to the Centennial Community Centre at 8600 McCowan Road (map) which is just north of Markville Shopping Centre. Due to some renovations in the room at Centennial Community Centre, we will be meeting at the Markham Village Arena for the August and September meetings. 

We meet on the fourth Monday of every month except January, July and December.
