Feminism

Celebrate International Women’s Day; join Markham Public Library and the Women’s Support Network of York Region in celebrating women, and exploring feminism!

Why are women objectified in the media?

Why are women still making less than men?

Why are people afraid to call themselves Feminists?

Do we really need feminism in this day and age?

How are you experiencing it?

This interactive workshop will discuss the fear around the word "Feminism" and allow you to bring in your own views on whether equality or lack thereof exists in today’s society.
